subject Fwd: US Student Grade Problem
mailed-by gmail.com

Dear Maricarmen,

I am writing this email in English, because I do not want to make any mistakes. I am a former international student who studied at USFQ during the academic year 2002-2003. My ID number was 10960. I am about to apply to a new graduate program and would like to order official transcripts to be sent to the graduate school. Actually, back in 2005, I ordered transcripts when I was applying to my master's degree program, but I have since forgotten the procedure. I remember that it involved mailing a check to USFQ's bank account in Florida and informing you of where I wanted to have the transcripts mailed. Would you mind giving me the details once again?

Also, and importantly, there was a problem with one of my grades and I doubt that I was successful in my attempt to resolve it back in 2005. Please see the attached chain of emails, which is my correspondence with Professor Carlos Espinosa about the issue. In my last email to Professor Espinosa, I promised that I would contact the Office of the Registrar about the grade problem after January 8, 2005. I am embarrassed to admit this, but I never did so. My top graduate school had already admitted me, despite the erroneous F on my transcript. Thinking that I would never be applying to another graduate school again, I never followed up. Now, here I am preparing to apply to a PhD program and I still desperately want to resolve the problem.

Is there any chance that you could see if the grade change went through? If it did not go through, I would be greatly indebted to you if you could act as a liaison between Professor Carlos Espinosa and the Office of the Registrar for me. I feel terribly powerless here in the U.S. with my rusty Spanish abilities and this complicated and outdated problem to explain.

Finally, I would like to give you the addresses to which I ultimately need my transcripts sent. They must arrive to the Graduate School at North Carolina State by January 1st, 2010, but of course, the sooner the better. I would also like an official copy sent to myself.

Address 1:
The Graduate School
North Carolina State University
Room 240, Research Building III
1005 Capability Drive
Campus Box 7102
Raleigh, NC 27695

Address 2 (to myself):
Anna Douglass Ojanen
P.O. Box 6
Edisto Island, SC 29438

Many thanks in advance,
Anna Ojanen
